Sink Leaking, Clogged, or Damaged? We Fix It.
Kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, utility sinks — repair and installation throughout the Triad.

Sink Problems Stop Your Routine
A leaking kitchen sink makes a mess under the cabinet. A clogged bathroom sink backs up while you’re trying to get ready. A cracked basin looks terrible and can’t hold water. Whatever’s wrong with your sink, it disrupts your day.
All-Star Plumbing repairs and installs sinks throughout High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the Triad. We handle the plumbing side — leaks, drains, supply lines, and connections. Whether it’s a quick drain clearing or installing a new sink during a remodel, we’ve got it.
Sink leaks are one of the most common causes of under-cabinet water damage. According to insurance industry data, water damage from plumbing failures — including sink leaks — is one of the most frequent homeowner claims. Catching leaks early saves money.
Signs Your Sink Needs Repair
Here’s what different problems usually mean.
Water Leaking Under Sink
- What it means: Leak could be from supply lines, drain connections, P-trap, garbage disposal connection, or faucet base.
- Why it matters: Under-sink leaks cause cabinet damage, mold growth, and can go unnoticed until significant damage occurs.
- Fix: We locate the source and repair it — tighten connections, replace gaskets, or fix damaged components.
Sink Drains Slowly
- What it means: Buildup in the drain, P-trap clog, or blockage further down the line.
- Fix: We clear the clog. If it's in the P-trap, it's quick. If it's further down, we may need to snake the line.
Sink Won't Drain at All
- What it means: Complete blockage in drain or P-trap.
- Fix: We clear the blockage. May require removing and cleaning the P-trap or snaking the drain line.
Gurgling or Bad Smell From Drain
- What it means: Partial clog, venting issue, or dry P-trap (if sink hasn't been used recently).
- Fix: Running water may fix a dry P-trap. If gurgling persists, there's a clog or vent issue to address.
Low Water Pressure at Sink
- What it means: Clogged aerator, kinked supply line, partially closed valve, or mineral buildup in supply lines.
- Fix: We check the aerator first (often a simple clean or replacement). If that's not it, we trace the supply line for the issue.
Cracks or Chips in Sink Basin
- What it means: The sink is damaged. Ceramic and porcelain sinks can crack from impact or thermal shock.
- Fix: Minor chips can sometimes be repaired with epoxy (cosmetic fix). Cracks that go through usually mean replacement.
Rust or Staining
- What it means: In stainless steel sinks, surface rust can develop. Porcelain sinks can stain from hard water or rust from corroding fixtures.
- Fix: Often a cleaning issue, not plumbing. But if corrosion is from failing fixtures, we replace those.
Sink Is Loose or Pulling Away
- What it means: Mounting clips have failed, caulk has deteriorated, or undermount adhesive has let go.
- Fix: We resecure the sink. For undermounts, this may require re-caulking and clamping.
Sinks We Repair & Install
Kitchen Sinks
Single bowl, double bowl, farmhouse, undermount, drop-in — we service all kitchen sink types. Kitchen sinks handle heavy use and often have garbage disposals, making them more complex than bathroom sinks.
Bathroom Sinks
Pedestal sinks, vessel sinks, undermount, drop-in, vanity sinks — we work on all bathroom sink styles. Bathroom sink plumbing is typically straightforward but varies by sink type.
Utility & Laundry Sinks
Laundry room sinks, garage sinks, mudroom sinks. These are workhorses — often simpler construction but still need reliable plumbing.
Bar & Prep Sinks
Smaller secondary sinks in kitchens, bars, or outdoor areas. We install and repair these too.
Sink Materials We Work With
- Stainless steel — Most common for kitchens. Durable, easy to clean.
- Porcelain/Ceramic — Common in bathrooms. Can chip or crack.
- Cast iron — Heavy, durable, enamel-coated. Found in older homes.
- Composite/Granite — Popular upgrade. Heat and scratch resistant.
- Copper — Specialty sinks. Develops patina over time.
- Fireclay — Farmhouse sink material. Heavy and durable.

Sink Repair Questions
How much does sink repair cost?
Most repairs run $100-$250 depending on the issue. Drain clearing is on the lower end. Replacing the P-trap or fixing multiple leaks costs more. We quote before starting.
How much does sink installation cost?
Labor for sink installation typically runs $200-$400 depending on sink type and complexity. Undermount sinks and farmhouse sinks take more work than drop-ins. The sink itself is separate.
Can you install a sink I purchased?
Yes. Buy the sink you want, and we’ll install it. Just make sure it fits your countertop cutout — or let us know if the cutout needs modification.
Why is my sink leaking underneath?
Common causes: loose drain connections, worn P-trap gaskets, leaking supply lines, failed garbage disposal gasket, or faucet leaking down into the cabinet. We pinpoint the source and fix it.
Can you fix a cracked ceramic sink?
Minor chips can sometimes be filled with epoxy for a cosmetic repair. Cracks that go through the material usually mean the sink needs replacing — repairs won’t hold long-term.
My sink drains slowly even after I cleaned the P-trap. What's wrong?
The clog is likely further down the drain line. We snake the line to clear blockages beyond the P-trap.
Can you replace an undermount sink?
Yes. Undermount sinks require more work — they’re attached from below with clips and adhesive. We remove the old sink, prep the surface, and install the new one properly.
