Drains Slow? Sewer Problems? We'll Find It and Fix It.
Camera inspections, drain cleaning, sewer line repair — done right with upfront pricing.

Your Drains Tell You When Something's Wrong
Slow drains. Gurgling toilets. Sewage smells. Water backing up where it shouldn’t. These aren’t problems that fix themselves — they’re warnings that something’s happening in your drain or sewer system.
We don’t guess. We use camera inspection to see exactly what’s going on inside your pipes before recommending any repairs. That means you get the right fix the first time, not a temporary band-aid that fails in six months.
All-Star Plumbing handles everything from simple drain cleaning to complete sewer main replacements throughout High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the Triad. We’ve cleared thousands of clogs and repaired hundreds of sewer lines — we know what works in Triad homes.
Why Homeowners Trust Us for Drain & Sewer Work
Serving High Point and the Triad Since 2007
Josh Davis grew up in a plumbing truck. By five years old, he was riding along with his father Larry, watching him work and learning the trade job by job. Larry spent decades in the industry, from installing water heaters for Sears to running his own company, right here in the Triad.
When that chapter closed, the two of them built something new together. All-Star Plumbing opened in April 2007 with a simple idea: show up, fix the problem, and treat every home with respect.
Nearly two decades later, that hasn’t changed. Josh runs the business. Larry is still right there with him. Together with their team, they’ve served families and businesses across High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the entire Triad, earning trust the only way they know how: through honest, dependable work.

Drain & Sewer Services
From a clogged kitchen sink to a collapsed sewer main, we handle it all. Here’s what we do.
When your main sewer line fails, everything backs up. Tree roots, ground shifting, pipe corrosion, or age can all cause breaks and blockages. We repair or replace sewer mains using traditional excavation or trenchless methods depending on your situation.
According to HomeGuide, sewer line replacement typically costs $3,000-$6,000 depending on length and method. We provide camera inspection first so you know exactly what you’re dealing with before deciding.
Signs you need sewer main service: Multiple drains backing up at once, sewage smell in yard, wet spots in lawn, gurgling from multiple fixtures.
Hair, grease, soap scum, food particles — they all build up over time. When a plunger won’t cut it, we clear the blockage with professional equipment. Most drain cleaning jobs are done in under an hour.
What we clear: Kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, floor drains, laundry drains, and main line clogs.
When to call: Water draining slowly, standing water in sink or tub, gurgling sounds, or recurring clogs that keep coming back.
A small waterproof camera goes into your pipes and shows us exactly what’s happening — clogs, cracks, root intrusion, collapsed sections, or buildup. No guessing, no unnecessary digging.
We record the inspection so you can see what we see. This is especially valuable before buying a home or diagnosing recurring problems.
Best for: Recurring clogs, sewer line issues, pre-purchase inspections, locating lost items, or verifying repairs.
Cracked pipes, corroded pipes, leaking joints — we fix them. Depending on location and damage, we repair the affected section or replace the line entirely. For accessible pipes, it’s straightforward. For pipes under slabs or in walls, we’ll explain your options.
Common pipe problems: Corrosion in older galvanized pipes, joint failures, tree root damage, freeze damage, or ground settling cracks.
Slab Leak Detection
Water lines and drain lines run under your home’s concrete slab. When they leak, you might notice warm spots on floors, the sound of running water, higher water bills, or cracks in your foundation. We locate slab leaks without tearing up your floor.
Warning signs: Unexplained high water bills, warm spots on floor, sound of running water when nothing’s on, moisture or mildew smell, cracks in flooring or walls.
What's Going On With Your Drains?
Not sure which service you need? Here’s how to tell.
- One Drain Is Slow or Clogged
- What it means: The clog is probably in that fixture's drain line — hair, grease, or debris buildup.
- Likely service: Drain Cleaning
- Urgency: Schedule this week. It'll only get worse.
- Multiple Drains Are Slow or Backing Up
- What it means: The problem is likely in your main sewer line, not individual drains.
- Likely service: Camera Inspection first, then Sewer Main Repair if needed.
- Urgency: Call soon. This can lead to sewage backup.
- Sewage Smell or Backup
- What it means: Could be a dry P-trap (easy fix), cracked sewer line, or blocked vent pipe.
- Likely service: If running water in unused drains doesn't fix it, call for Camera Inspection.
- Urgency: Call today. Sewer gas is a health hazard.
- Gurgling Sounds From Drains or Toilets
- What it means: Air is getting trapped — usually from a partial blockage or venting issue in the main line.
- Likely service: Camera Inspection to diagnose, then appropriate repair.
- Urgency: Schedule soon. Gurgling often comes before backup.
- Wet Spot in Yard or Sewage Smell Outside
- What it means: Your sewer main is likely cracked or broken underground.
- Likely service: Camera Inspection and Sewer Main Repair.
- Urgency: Call soon. This won't fix itself and can contaminate your yard.
- Water Bill Spiked for No Reason
- What it means: You have a leak somewhere — possibly under your slab or in a supply line.
- Likely service: Slab Leak Detection or Leak Detection & Repair.
- Urgency: Call this week. You're paying for water you're not using.
- Same Drain Keeps Clogging
- What it means: There's a deeper issue — root intrusion, pipe damage, or a bellied (sagging) line that collects debris.
- Likely service: Camera Inspection to find the root cause.
- Urgency: Schedule soon. Recurring clogs mean something's wrong in the pipe itself.
Why Professional Drain & Sewer Service Matters
We Find the Real Problem
Store-bought drain cleaner treats symptoms. We find what’s actually causing the issue — and fix it so it doesn’t come back in three months.
Protect Your Home's Foundation
Sewer leaks under your slab can erode soil and cause foundation settling. The EPA notes that even small leaks waste thousands of gallons and can undermine structures over time. Fixing sewer problems early prevents bigger damage.
Avoid Emergency Backup
A slow drain today becomes a sewage backup next month. Getting ahead of the problem saves money and keeps waste where it belongs — out of your house.
Know What You're Buying
If you’re purchasing a home, camera inspection shows the sewer line’s condition before you close. Replacing a failed sewer main after purchase costs thousands — inspection costs a fraction of that.
Extend Pipe Life
Regular drain cleaning prevents buildup that corrodes pipes over time. A well-maintained drain system lasts decades longer than one that’s ignored until it fails.

Drain & Sewer Questions
How much does drain cleaning cost?
It depends on the location and severity. Simple sink or tub clogs are on the lower end. Main line cleaning costs more. We quote the job before starting so you know exactly what you’ll pay.
How much does sewer line repair cost?
It varies widely based on length, depth, and repair method. Simple repairs might be a few hundred dollars. Full replacement runs $3,000-$6,000 or more depending on conditions. Camera inspection first tells us what you actually need.
Should I use chemical drain cleaner?
We don’t recommend it. Chemical cleaners can damage pipes over time, especially older pipes. They also don’t fix the underlying cause of recurring clogs. Professional cleaning is safer and more effective.
How do I know if the problem is my sewer line?
If multiple drains are slow or backing up at once, it’s usually the main line. If only one fixture is affected, the clog is likely in that drain. Sewage smells outside or wet spots in your yard also point to sewer line issues.
What causes sewer lines to fail?
Tree roots are the most common cause — they grow into pipe joints seeking moisture. Age and corrosion, ground shifting, and heavy equipment driving over buried lines also cause damage. Older clay and cast iron pipes are more vulnerable than modern PVC.
Do you offer trenchless sewer repair?
In some cases, yes. Trenchless methods work well for certain conditions. We’ll assess your situation and recommend the best approach — sometimes traditional excavation is actually faster and more cost-effective.
How long does sewer line replacement take?
Most residential sewer line replacements take 1-2 days. Complex jobs with difficult access or length may take longer. We’ll give you a timeline before starting.
